We will be participating in Asia Week New York in March 2025!

We are currently in the middle of preparations.
From September, AWNY has been reposting on their Instagram(@asiaweekny) items that we brought to New York in the past.

*These items will not be on display at Asia Week New York 2025.
*They are available at our gallery in Japan, so please feel free to inquire.
*We are unable to accommodate requests to bring it to New York in 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience.

This is a painting of a woman playing the viola. It is framed, and she looks great in her red skirt.
The painting belongs to the genre known as Yōfūga (Western-style painting), where Japanese artists tried to imitate Nanban (Portuguese and Spanish) art that arrived with Christianity in the 16th century. A notable feature is that Japanese pigments were used, as oil paints had not yet been.
